Brought my 2022 HD 2500 in for a DEF tank problem. Was told by the Service writer that it would be between 6 to8 weeks before they could look at the truck and would have to order the parts after they looked at the truck. The service writer told me they were out of the DEF tanks at that time. Made an appointment at that time and left with the truck. Bought a DEF tank, they had 4 in stock to replace the assembly myself. Decided to go back a talk to the service writer to let her know I bought a tank and they scheduled to get my truck in Jan 20. Brought the truck back on the 20th and was told that it would be at least 2 more weeks before they would look at the truck. Let the truck and got a call on the 22nd to let me know the truck was done. Was not happy about not getting my vehicle repaired on a timely manner. I was pleasantly surprised they finally got it fixed.

I have another relatively new vehicle of a different brand from another dealer in town and expected our new GMC to subject me to the same poor service I receive at the other dealer. This has not been the case and I am truly surprised. Excellent experience. Nathan took very good care of us, we are from out of town and were anxious to get back on the road; the service team had us back on the road in less than an hour. Amazing! 100% better service than South Chevrolet. Experience was good.. Michael was an awesome sales rep. The only thing I didn’t like was that the finance guy gave me a hard time about my payment method.. said I could only pay 2500 on my card and end up allowing me to pay more than 6500 the next day.. So when I did pick up my car, I looks like my car was not washed and detailed before I got to take it home.. but besides these two issues, Swickard was awesome to me.

A major issue with my new vehicle was found and the team at the dealership and in the service area made a tough situation bearable. I was disappointed that it took over two weeks to get my car repaired. Communication about repairs was okay, but would have appreciated even just a daily text letting me know where my car was in queue (e.g. car is 25th in line, car now 12th in line.) My service rep did reach out a couple of times but other times did not return calls especially when I received a message that the problem had been diagnosed and they needed authorization to continue. I eventually went to the dealership to resolve the issue in person. My rep was very courteous and apologized for the delay. I understand that they were backlogged but that still seems extreme. The repairs appear to be fine and once I pointed it out, the work was done under the 1 year warranty I got when I purchased the vehicle. I seriously doubt I will return to the dealership for the simple reason the operation services so many vehicles that it has a difficult time carrying out work in a timely manner. The main reason I had my vehicle brought there was because of the warranty.

I scheduled an appointment(oil change) for 700 AM and was subsequently told that technicians won’t report until 800 AM, so I’d have to wait a bit until they showed. This scheduling policy is confounding: customers generally expect work to begin at the time of their appointment. However, a technician reported to work early and was able to start on my vehicle. That said: I left very happy with my experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming, work on my vehicle was well performed. I appreciate the Service Rep. putting extra effort to get an earlier start to service work on my truck.

The oil change went without issue, and the staff did accept my $20 coupon. They did inform me about the recall notice on my car, and that the part had been ordered but still has not been delivered. I initially went in to check out a truck that was listed online only to find out that the online price was an error. I waited a few days and the online error price didn't change so I emailed to ask about it. I got a phone call response from Mark Cavanaugh and he offered me a price that was below their asking price but still above the error price that was still showing online. He explained that the error happened when the sale amount was accidentally input twice instead of just once. He took responsibility for the error and mentioned that he had tried to correct it but the website hadnt updated and he was going to need to contact someone else to fix it. He said he couldn't sell it for as low as the error price but would give a little extra off their asking to make up for the error.

I got a text message telling me my 2023 2500 Sierra was due for a 25000 mile service. I happened to be in Anchorage and had time so I called in to see if they could schedule me in. I called at 11:30 and the scheduled me for 1 pm. Awesome! I got in about 12:30, the crew loved on my dog and made sure we were comfortable. They had us back on the road in about an hour! Great service and friendly staff with an overgrown puppy!

Great service by your service reps. Disappointed in the wait for service though. Apparently there’s a shortage of techs to work vehicles which leads to an extended wait for diagnostics and service. I understand that Alaska is a tough place to continually find good techs so I don’t totally blame you guys. Hope this can be sorted out soon! It was a true inconvenience for me and my family to be down to one vehicle why we waited for this work.

It had trouble taking my money and ended up charging me three times for the service. It could not even print a receipt for me and I had one sent by email. Shame to spoil a good experience with poor equipment.

I called to check on two recalls on Friday afternoon late for my 2024 GMC Denali pickup truck. The tech advisor told me they’re open Saturday. So I brought my vehicle in Saturday morning the General Manager had called to tell the service department to tell them I was coming in. When I arrived the sales manager was waiting for me with fresh bake goods and the coffee was on as well. My advisor proceeded my vehicle in and told they could take care of one recall and perform the maintenance my vehicle needed. Never have I been so welcomed for a service appointment. My service advisor walked to the waiting area. While waiting for my service to be performed, the General Manager Mr. Cavanaugh showed up and welcomed for my service. He walked out to talk with my service advisor to make my vehicle would be taken care. He returned to tell the vehicle would be finished in a few minutes. During my visit the advisor did come me informed as well as emailed thru my App. When the service was completed I was given several options to pay for my service work. He also pointed out what would need to be serviced for my next visit. When all said done he walked to my vehicle and wished me a good day.

I had to reschedule my appointment to June 18th from the 6th because when I went to check in, I was told you needed to keep my car for a week. Who can give up their car for a week with no notice? Then on the 18th it took until 2pm for them to even tell me what was wrong with my car. 7 hours to diagnose my car and then 3 hours to fix it a very minor issue!?! The only status update that I got I had to initiate. At this point, the convenience of the shuttle is the only reason I continue to use this shop but that might not be enough anymore. Oh, and one of my service lights is still on.

Check in took 25 min. I was told I could wait for my truck to be done when I made the appointment, but after checking in that changed because they said that they were already a few hours behind. It was now after 9am, my appointment was for 8:40am, and I was 10 minutes early. The courtesy can driver was nice, but unreachable for the trip back to the dealership when my vehicle was ready. All this left me feeling like there was quite a bit of room for improvement.

Awkward and delayed drop off and pick up of vehicle. Service writers are overly busy answering the phone, and limited in doing their job with customers who are directly waiting on site. No cashier available to pay and receive key after service places a burden back on the same service reps, and caused a frustrating and lengthy delay in the pick up process. Ownership has short-changed overall service and efficiency with the decision to not fund separate reception and cashier staffing. Will not recommend to others.

Cole was extremely nice. He was new, so a little slow. The woman that works in service supposedly fixed my radio and when I asked her if the radio buttons were back, she said yes. But they weren't. I had another appt. so I couldn't go back in. I initially went in for a oil change and asked if they could check my brake light. They spend one hour trying to find the problem by someone who wasn't certified to do so. They also found a leak in my oil pan and wanted me to make an appt. for that. $1400 for labor!!!! How ridiculous. I don't think I'll ever go back or buy another car from them.

Took almost a month to get my a/c to work. Service dept head only made 1 call and left msg to my vehicle repair insurance company. I made a call to them later and they covered the job immediately. Service head kind of let us down by not being persistant. But the job was finally finished and it wworks good now.

My experience started July 24, when I went in for an oil change. I was advised, after job completion that I had a major oil leak, source unknown and I could bring it in in two weeks for a diagnostic exam and, if needed, repair. I agreed and was told it would be scheduled. A week later, I got a text "reminder" that I needed to schedule for follow-up work on the problem found. When I called to check to see a mistake had been made about the scheduling, I was told it had never been scheduled, so she scheduled me. That same day, I filled out a survey similar to this one, and one of the (assistant) service managers called me and was able to schedule me in for August 6, which is when I dropped it off. I was advised a couple of days later it was an oil pan leak that had thrown oil all over. I gave Maryann the go-ahead to fix it and I hoped Endurance would cover the repair/reseal (which it did not), but to fix it at any rate. She said it was a 12-hour job and would probably take about a week. I heard nothing after that. A week later (about 8/13), I called to get the job status. On the call-back, I was told it had not been started (wasn't a first priority) but should be next one up. On (8/15), I received a call that it was ready for pick-up. The reason we purchased our GMC Terrain was that our previous experiences with the Alaska Sales & Service service department and our Saturn had been great. Unfortunately, my experiences with the current Swickard service department has been so much less than I expected. Gerald L. Gates

The Customer Service Agent (Specialist) got me in for an oil change and new filter on very short notice. She (Sabrina) was polite and professional. She provided me with information, an estimate, about how long it would take to complete the service and the estimated costs. She asked whether I was going to wait for the services to be completed or would I like the shuttle. She also directed me to coffee or a snack while I waited for services to be completed. Overall, my oil change and new filter were completed faster than expected and less expensive than expected. I have no complaints. Good job! Thank you!

After making an appointment for Friday at 1 pm, a few days later I was informed that it would not be possible due to inventory being taken that day. I made another appointment for Monday. When I brought the truck in, it seemed that there wasn’t a reservation on file. I was told it could take up to two hours. I also wanted the DEF level sensor checked, since it seemed to have malfunctioned. ( DEF level notice said 200 miles, then 30 miles later, it said fill DEF now.) I was told this would not be possible, since there wasn’t a technician available. I would have also asked if AC Delco injector cleaner could be added, but at this point I decided it would be useless and hoped that I could at least get the oil change and 37500 check up done. I was pleasantly surprised when the rig was done within an hour.. The cost was a lot higher than I am accustomed to, there was no free car wash and they couldn’t complete all the checks I desired.

I was the first customer in the door and the last to get checked in. 20 minute check in for a oil change and tire rotation/balance. Was quoted $85 when scheduled, quoted $125 at check in plus oil change cost. Reiterated that I purchased lifetime oil through this dealer when I purchased the truck. They couldn’t find it until getting another employee. This “express” service took 4 hours. Check out also took a while.

The installation of the accessory product (Dash Camera) was painless in the sense that things like nuts and bolts finishing work is a breeze to the qualified techs who I gladly pay for. However, the camera still doesn't work, and after spending time with the manufacturer's tech support, we discovered a simple "unplug everything, plug it back in" was enough to get the system to get me past page one in the users manual. There is still some interpretational work left in discovering the rest of the programming. I just don't understand why, as a dealer, you would give this back to the customer not knowing it is functional.

Unfortunately I waited 4.5hrs for a simple oil change. I was not updated during this wait, other than when I asked for a status after 2.5hrs of waiting. It should have been communicated when I checked in and stated that I was waiting, that things were backed up/slow/behind. I would have arranged a ride at that point. I understand things get busy and there isn't a way to control that but the communication needs to improve.

Had an appointment to replace an oil pan gasket under warranty. As soon as they knew the timeline was going to be extended, they got me in a loaner right away and took care of everything. Communication was great and my vehicle was fixed and no longer has a leak.

People were great and very helpful. My truck is still there after 4 trips to the shop, my $3500.00 Infotainment system is still showing the black screen of death! This is one more example of why forced update through onstar suck. Everything worked fine until they did chevrolet update since then nothing works. I will also say I think its not right to for a customers to buy an On-Star program in order to use the $3500 infotainment system in there $92,000 dollar truck.

Your sales man noticed us and was attentive but was not aggressive, which I very much appreciate. When dealerships do the blood in the water shark attack when someone steps onto the lot, I just leave. So you guys were very good with that. Salesman helped us test drive 3 cars. Was knowledgeable. When it came to the purchase, he had to hand off to a different salesman, but that still worked out fine. My only gripe is you gave me less than half what the KBB trade value of the car was. Repair was not done because the clerk and the technician that received my work request wanted to extend the repair on other issues,this shop turned off this feature upon my request from the previous service because one of the side wasn’t working but one side works and I just wanted to turn it back on but they are now saying that the other side need to get fixed first in order to reactivate the feature.again for an estimated charge of $1000.00 which I refuse but I was charged for $247.37 for just checking in and out my vehicle with them.

I went in for the L87 warranty recall. Service was timely and professional. However, I was not informed that, due to the recall my oil changes would now cost twice as much. I understand it was a factory recall, but they need to be more transparent if I am going to continue purchasing vehicles from them. GM should cover the cost of oil changes or at least the cost of the increase due to their mistake.

Normally there's always something to complain about when it comes to the service department, but this time, I have zero issues. 2025 Suburban had an Idler Pulley failure, running theory is factory didn't put on enough loctite. Mechanic flew the parts up next day air. Was back up and running within 48 hours. The shuttle service was amazing, got me to work on time. Staff was pleasant. Keep it up!

My experience was great but their policy on diagnosing appointments is horrible. Instead of scheduling an appointment when my vehicle would be looked at within 24-48 hours I had to drop off my vehicle and let it sit for 7 days just for a onstar module. The vehicle was in perfect driving condition but I was forced to leave it with no courtesy vehicle. My vehicle is still under the factory warranty and I was told that I could only get a courtesy vehicle after the issue was diagnosed. Was also told the courtesy vehicles had a waiting list! Once my vehicle was finally checked the repair was done very fast within 24hrs. The service representative was great but their service policies are horrible! They all benefit the dealership and not the customer.

My advisor was able to get my vehicle scheduled in in a reasonable amount of time. My advisor was super friendly when I dropped my truck off but was still very attentive to my needs and even asked if I had a ride. The advisor updated me as to the problem and the repairs required as soon as the tech was done. I felt like the repairs we completed very swiftly and my advisor updated me as soon as my truck was ready for pickup.

The tire service signal was on and the dealership decided to wait till spring to repair it. It was sort of annoying to have the signal blink at me while driving but I put up with it. Then an added message come on saying front left tire low. Then someone at my church also told me I had a low tire - the left front. I received help after church with a tire mechanism filler that attached to the cigarette lighter. The helper could only get up to 28 lbs in. I then took the truck to a Fred Myre store and their air gauge was frozen. I went next door to Freddie's and they drove the truck into the station. It was approximately 7 below zero. The cymbal on the dash kept saying left from tire needs air. Well when the lube place tried to help me, the passenger front tire was lower. I told them I needed 35 lbs., only. I did not go to Swickard first because they were booked solid. The next morning I went to Swickard and it took three hours to get the cymbals removed from the dash. Swickard told me the lube place put too much air in all the tires. There was another concern I had. I approached a stop sign on my way to get the tires checked. There was an accident. When we were allowed to continue, I ran over some debris left by the accident. There had been no cleanup. Swickard filled all the tires to 35 and I'm supposed watch and see if that accident prior to my being in traffic has ruined one of my tires. Patricia K.

The salesperson did a great job. We appreciated the help and were grateful that we were not pressured. It had been an exhausting day and it was nice to meet someone who was honest and did what we asked. However, when we went into the back room and were encouraged to buy the extended service agreement for $3500, and get our paint job protected for hundreds of dollars more, which was supposedly going to be sprayed on in a few minutes, even though the truck was frozen and covered with snow, the whole experience became so unpleasant, I nearly walked out!
